No alphas. Kindness and science only.

Hello, my name is Dominika. I'm a certified and insured dog trainer and behaviour practitioner. I work from Bristol, UK.

Sessions are available on Wednesdays and Thursdays 9:30 - 14:30, Fridays 16- 21:00 and some Saturdays. I'll always try and fit you in on a weekend so don't hesitate to get in touch if that's the only time you can do.

I'm based in BS11 and cover most of North Bristol and also Portishead, Pill  and Severn Beach.

Right now I'm a slave to a gorgeous 14 year old lurcher, one husband type human and two small humans and they all test my patience every single day.

How do I know what I teach you? Where do I even start?! Apart from my instructors course run by a vet behaviourist and a successful sports dog trainer, I am constantly keeping up with what the best dog professionals and vets have to say about what's new in canine science. Science discovers something new as time goes on and we would be stupid not to take advantage. I have attended and pledge to carry on attending seminars and conferences because I strongly believe in continual professional develpement. Besides, I love learning and growing my skills. Humans suffer when they're stagnant so I make sure I pursue happiness in my professional life so that YOU can benefit - it's one of the most important reasons I do this.

I don't work with any particular breed but I'm partial to Alaskan Malamutes and Sighthounds because these are the breeds I've personally lived with. Both breeds have immense prey drive and all my dogs have taught me a great deal and have kept me humble. All very different dogs. My malamute was naturally very loving, my female sighthound cuddly and my male sighthound, who is still with me today, is a sensitive soul that has taught  me to be mindful of an incredible amount of little nuances of body language and communication. Not to mention a list of health issues that I could not even have dreamed up. Fly has helped me discover so many things that I can now teach you about and help you manage and prevent.

I wouldn't survive without laughing so if something sounds like a joke, it most definitely is. I've been trying to learn English humour and most of the time it lands! So please prepare yourselves for when you work with me. Science can be very boring. I don't want you to be too busy yawning otherwise you won't remember anything I say.

It is a pleasure to be trusted  with your precious furry friend. There are no issues too embarrassing to me and I'm no stranger to regrets either. I hold a safe and confidential space for you so please don't hesitate to get in touch if you have any worries about your dog's behaviour and aren't sure what to do.
